Hello there. You'll find our privacy policies on this page.
TWR takes your privacy seriously, so here are some details on how your information will be used.
Who is collecting the data?
This site is hosted by Squarespace, and analytics data is viewable by us, the TWR. If you contact TWR personally through email, then your email goes directly to us. If you visit Twitter link on our site, then the relevant privacy policies for Twitter are here.
What data is being collected?
We use analytics cookies—small files saved to your computer when you visit our site—in order to understand how often visitors stop by the TWR, how they use the site, and what we can do better. This includes your IP address and location. If you contact us via email, then we'll have your email address and, if you’ve included it, your name. This information will be stored via Gmail, whose policies you can find here. If you email us, your information will not be shared beyond our correspondence, ever. We won’t send you unsolicited emails.
What is the legal basis for processing the data?
Squarespace collects data from website visitors in order to help website owners like the TWR understand and improve on their visitors' experiences. If you are unsure, have a look at their privacy policy here. By clicking 'Accept' on our cookies banner, you consent to the use of our analytics cookies. If you’ve emailed us, we don’t actively save your details to another database, but it is saved automatically by Gmail. If you’d like us to delete your email address and correspondence from our contacts or email history, we will do so on request.
Will the data be shared with any third parties?
Data shared with us via Squarespace or email will not be shared with third parties, ever.
How will the information be used?
We'll use your email address to respond to your enquiry! After that, you won’t hear from us. For analytics cookies, we'll use it to gain a sense of how readers are using the site, how we can improve it, and to keep track of how many people across the world are reading The Willowherb Review.
How long will the data be stored for?
We will endeavour to routinely clear out our inbox every six months, so your email will be deleted within that time.
What rights does the data subject have?
You’re welcome to request that we delete your email address from our contacts. If you would like us to remove analytics data stored by Squarespace, get in touch with us via email and we will make a request to them.
How can the data subject raise a complaint?
It seems counter-intuitive but… you can get in touch with Jessica—the Data Protection Officer of the TWR— via email here.
Thanks for visiting and supporting inclusivity in nature writing.
